Welcome to Frankie's World!
Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Frankie's World is the area's leading daycare center for children with special healthcare needs. We welcome children ages birth to 8 years of age who need skilled nursing care for medical reasons.
Named for a special girl in Philadelphia who has touched many lives, Frankie's World is licensed by the state of Pennsylvania to care for medically or technologically-dependent children. The center is an exciting place, where kids can be kids! It has a large play area, opportunities for learning and socializing, and offers recreation, therapies and education. Frankie's World is staffed by experienced pediatric nurses, and we have a special needs educator onsite.
Costs can be completely covered through your medical insurance. We will work with your child's doctor and insurance company to help your child qualify. Frankie's World is also available for families who prefer not to use medical insurance. Please contact us for more information or to arrange a tour!
News From Frankie's World
Art for Healing: Friends of Frankie's World recently joined with alumni from the Moore College of Art to complete an amazing mural on the exterior of Frankie's World. To see pictures of the mural, as well as the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 10, 2008, click here.
Other Activites: On Halloween 2007 the children at Frankie's World dressed up and had treats at lunch time. Then in November 2007, 8th graders from St. Martin De Porres school in Germantown visited Frankie's World to play and learn together. Our annual holiday party was a big success in December 2007. Since then, our special needs educator, Fran Fox, has been busy teaching the children. To see pictures of all these activities, click here.
In the News: We are thrilled that Frankie's World was featured in the August 2007 issue of Exceptional Parent Magazine. Frankie's World was also featured in a front page story in the Philadelphia Inquirer on July 18, 2007.
